What Was Needed
Subway wanted to communicate the existence of their in-store Scrabble game on mobile phones.  The goal was to drive traffic to Subway stores.The goal was to drive traffic to Subway stores to play the game.  In addition Subway opens four stores/hour, which creates a need for a real-time store locator data connection.

What Was Delivered
MAXX built a custom Subway WAP site and delivered mobile banner ad placements to promote the in-store game.  The WAP site featured the Scrabble game, listed Menu Items, and provided a dynamic Store Locator to drive people to the store.  The locator was also addressed the need for a real-time data connection. 

How It Was Delivered

  1. Leveraged our MAXX Connect platform to deliver a unique WAP experience based on the user’s handset and screen resolution. 
  2. Integrated directly with Subway’s locator web service to support the delivery of real time store location information.
  3. Created and implemented a revised banner to enhance the mobile-user experience.  The existing banner assets were not mobile-friendly. 

Results:
The program was considered a success, outperforming the Online Program 6-to-1
